Can anyone recommend a good, but in-expensive, webcam?
Our kids think it is about time we got up to speed with modern technology.

I never had one Warren, so I can't help. Get a Logitech, if they make one.

Thanks Bruce. This is the one I've been looking at: Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000

I have one, but it's rather old, made by Intel. The software is obsolete and no upgrades to that but WinXP sees it via the USB connection. All I use it for is a kind of homemade security system. Using the XP Powertoy called Timershots, I can set it to take a picture every x minutes, and upload it to my web site. The pix are not there for sharing with the public, but if someone were to break in, I might get a mug shot or two, and since they aren't just saved to the local computer I still have them even if the computer gets stolen.

The one you link to looks good, but I think it's a little spendy.
